Born and raised in the vibrant city of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Laura is an accomplished event professional with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences. As the visionary behind Reehl Events LLC, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every occasion.
Laura's journey in the world of events began during her college years at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith (UAFS). While pursuing her Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Mathematics, she discovered her love for event planning through a student worker job in the Campus and Community Events department. This initial exposure sparked a fire within her, and she knew that creating unforgettable moments was her true calling. As a proud alum, Laura offers 10% off services to all UAFS alumni.
Eager to expand her horizons, Laura embarked on a transformative experience by joining AmeriCorps VISTA, where she worked with Habitat for Humanity. This enriching year off from school deepened her understanding of community engagement and the power of events to make a positive impact.
Driven by her passion and armed with a thirst for knowledge, Laura pursued her Master's degree in Science in International Event Management at the prestigious University of Surrey in Guildford, England. Graduating with distinction, she honed her skills and gained invaluable insights into global event practices, further solidifying her expertise.
Returning to her beloved home state, Laura's career soared as she joined the Campus and Community Events team at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. For six years, she contributed her creativity, organizational prowess, and dedication to curating exceptional events for the university and the surrounding community. Her talent and leadership were recognized as she rose through the ranks, leaving an indelible mark on the institution.
Seeking new challenges and opportunities, Laura accepted the role of Director of Conference Services at the University of the Ozarks. Over three years, she expertly managed and orchestrated a wide range of conferences, seamlessly bringing together diverse groups of attendees and ensuring their experiences surpassed expectations.
Outside of her thriving career, Laura finds solace and inspiration in various hobbies. Whether losing herself in the pages of a captivating book, scouring antique shops for hidden treasures, enjoying the magic of summer movies, or spending quality time with loved ones, she values the importance of balance and cherishing the moments that bring joy.
